Welcome to Koffeelab
Good espresso isn't an accident. It's the result of paying attention - to the grind, the dose, the distribution, the tamp, the time, and finally, the taste.
I've been pulling espresso shots for a while now, and somewhere along the way I started noticing a pattern: I'd have a genuinely great cup one morning, and then spend the next three days trying to replicate it with absolutely no idea what I did differently. Was it the dose? Did I skip the WDT tool? Did I under-tamp? I couldn't remember.
So I built Koffeelab.
It's a simple but precise logging app for espresso. Every time I pull a shot, I record what matters: how many grams I weighed off, whether I used a WDT tool or a leveler, what kind of tamp I used, and whether it was a single or a double. Then the shot itself - how long it ran, and how many grams came out.
From there, I log what I made. Was it just a straight espresso shot? A latte? Did I add milk, and if so, how much and in what kind of cup? The full picture.
And at the end of it all - the part that actually matters - how did it taste? Did I like it? Was it too bitter, too sour, too thin? That's the feedback that closes the loop.
Over time, Koffeelab becomes a logbook of everything you've learned at the machine. You stop guessing. You start dialing in.
If you count the grams, this is for you.
